Stradbroke Neighbourhood Plan
The Stradbroke Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP) has been prepared by Stradbroke Parish Council and the local community and will be used to help guide and shape future development within the parish.
Reg 20 Formal Adoption (18 Mar 2019)
At its Full Council meeting on 18 March 2019, Mid Suffolk District Council resolved to 'make' (adopt) the Stradbroke NDP.
The Plan, which covers the period up to 2036, now forms part of the development plan framework for the District and will be used in the determination of planning applications submitted in Stradbroke unless material considerations indicate otherwise.

Reg 18 Local Referendum (31 Jan 2019)
A local referendum on the Stradbroke NDP was held on 31 January 2019. The question asked of those entitled to vote was: "Do you want Mid Suffolk District Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Stradbroke to help it decide planning applications on the Neighbourhood Plan Area?"
Reg 17 Examination (Final Report 19 Oct 2018)
Mid Suffolk District Council appointed Janet Cheesley BA (Hons) DipTP MRTPI to carry out an independent examination of the Stradbroke NDP. The examination was conducted through written correspondence.
On 19 October 2018, the Examiner issued her final report. It recommended that, subject to modification, this NDP met the Basic Condition tests and that it should proceed to a local referendum
Reg 16 Submission Consultation (19 Apr - 1 Jun 2018)
The submission draft Stradbroke NDP was made available for public consultation between 19 April and 1 June 2018.
The Parish Council (the qualifying body) had formally submitted the following documents:

An assessment on how this NDP met the basic conditions formed part of the examination. At the time of submission, our initial checks suggested that the relevant requirements had been met. See our Regulation 15 Checklist.
Respondents were also reminded that their comments would be forwarded to the examiner and, with the exception of personal details, be published on this website.
SEA/HRA Screening & Determination (Mar 2018)
The pre-submission draft NDP was screened to determine whether a Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) and or a Habitats Assessment (HRA) were required. SEA was 'screened-in' and HRA was 'screened-out'. The relevant reports and determination notices are published below:

Reg 14 Pre-submission Consultation (Jan - Mar 2018)
