Waste and recycling education
We offer free educational visits to local primary and secondary schools.
Our aim is to help young people understand the importance of waste management and encourage them to think differently about their waste.
Our engaging, activity-led sessions are suitable for KS1 upwards. We explore what happens to household waste in Suffolk, how to be better at recycling, and ways that we can reduce and reuse more.
Alongside pupil learning sessions, we can provide guidance and practical support to your school to help minimise waste and improve recycling. We can work with the wider school community, including pupil eco groups, support staff and parents.
Sessions are delivered by a qualified teacher with DBS certification and are tailored to meet the school’s needs.
Visits can include whole school assemblies or events, or year group or individual class sessions.
We also offer talks and workshops to community groups and businesses, and educational activities at local events.
