Suffolk County Council elections May 2026
Suffolk County Council (SCC) elections due to take place on Thursday 7 May 2026, however this date may change. Further information may be found on the County Council website.
Further details about the SCC elections will become available on the Suffolk County Council website.
All electors who are currently registered and eligible to vote will receive a poll card before polling day, which will let you know where you need to cast your vote.
On polling day, polls will be open from 7am to 10pm.

| Thursday 30 April | First day issuing replacement lost and spoilt postal votes |
| Thursday 7 May | Polling day. Polling stations open from 7am to 10pm |
| Thursday 7 May | Last chance to replace lost or spoilt postal votes. Deadline is 5pm |
| Thursday 7 May | Last chance to apply for an emergency proxy vote. Deadline is 5pm |

How to vote
To vote in an election, you must be registered.
If you've recently turned 18, or moved house, you may not be registered. You can register to vote online.
If you would like to vote in person at a polling station, you will need valid Voter ID.
If you are unable to attend the polling station, you can apply to vote by post. You are also able to apply for a proxy vote.
