Lower Gipping Valley Neighbourhood Plan
The Parish Councils of Bramford, Claydon & Whitton, and Little Blakenham, together with Akenham Parish are working together to prepare a joint Neighbourhood Development Plan (NDP). Collectively, this project will be known as the ‘Lower Gipping Valley Neighbourhood Plan’.
When complete, it is intended that the plan will be used to help guide and shape future development across the whole plan area.

Reg 05 Area Designation (8 July 2026)
An application to designate this multi parish plan area was consulted on by Mid Suffolk District Council between 18 May and 30 June 2026. Nine representations were received.
After considering the representations, and in accordance with Regulation 6A(2)(c) and Regulation 7(1) of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), Mid Suffolk District Council herby give notice that it has designated the whole of the proposed Lower Gipping Valley plan area for the purpose of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan.
A notice to this effect, a copy of the application, and a map identifying this NDP area are published below. The notice contains details of the made representations.
