Government launches public consultation on Suffolk and Norfolk devolution
17/02/25
The Government has launched a public consultation on proposals to create a Mayoral Combined County Authority across Norfolk and Suffolk.
Following the recent announcement that our region has been accepted on the Government’s Devolution Priority Programme, everyone now has a chance to have their say about devolution.
The consultation, which asks about the proposed geography and how the Combined County Authority should make decisions, runs for eight weeks until 13 April 2025.
To have your say, visit the government website to find the open consultation.
It is important to note that this consultation does not cover proposals for any local government reorganisation of our existing councils – your views on this will be sought as part of a separate process.
