Empty Home loans
An interest free loan of up to £20,000 may be available to renovate long term empty properties to return them to use.
Who Is Eligible?
- The property must be unoccupied and evidence to support this may need to be provided
- The property most must be in a state of disrepair
- The property must be within Mid Suffolk
- The applicant must ensure that on completion of the work the property is habitable and ensure it is brought back into occupation
What Work Could Be Considered?
Only works to remedy serious hazards will be considered. This may include (but is not limited to):
- Electrical safety works
- Structural issues
- Significant damp problems
What Help Could I Receive?
You may be eligible for: an interest free loan of up to £20,000 which is repayable on sale or transfer of the property.
