Constitution and Charters
Mid Suffolk District Council has a constitution which sets out how the Council operates, how decisions are made, and the procedures which need to be followed to ensure that these decisions are efficient, transparent, and accountable to local people.
The Monitoring Officer has the delegated power to amend the constitutions in response to any changes in legislation. All amendments to the constitution will be published here when they are made.

Planning Charter
Our Planning Charter sets out the strict protocols of behaviour that our Councillors must follow when participating in our planning committees. This is to ensure that all planning applications are thoroughly considered and that the decisions reached by the committee is fair and transparent.
All Councillors are required to abide by the Planning Charter.
