Don't forget your Voter ID
If you are voting in person in the General Election on Thursday 4 July, you will need to take an accepted form of photo ID with you.
The next UK parliamentary general election will take place on Thursday 4 July 2024.
All electors who are currently registered and eligible to vote will receive a poll card before polling day, which will let you know where you need to cast your vote.
On polling day, polls will be open from 7am to 10pm.

To vote in an election, you must be registered.
If you've recently turned 18, or moved house, you may not be registered. You can register to vote online.
If you would like to vote in person at a polling station, you will need valid Voter ID.
If you are unable to attend the polling station, you can apply to vote by post. You are also able to apply for a proxy vote.
