2025 Suffolk County Council Election
The Suffolk County Council election that would have ordinarily taken place on Thursday 1 May 2025 has now been postponed until Thursday 7 May 2026.
All electors registered and eligible to vote in 2026 will receive a poll card before polling day, which will let you know where you need to cast your vote.
On polling day, polls will be open from 7am to 10pm.

The new Suffolk County boundaries are a result of a review conducted by the Local Government Boundary Commission for England leading to The Suffolk (Electoral Changes) Order 2022. It will come into effect at the next County Council election.

How to vote
To vote in an election, you must be registered.
If you've recently turned 18, or moved house, you may not be registered. You can register to vote online.
If you would like to vote in person at a polling station, you will need valid Voter ID.
If you are unable to attend the polling station, you can apply to vote by post. You are also able to apply for a proxy vote.
